We are looking for an apprentice technician to join this busy team This role is to prepare and process routine samples which could be soil, crops or water, document the procedures and maintain equipment and environment in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) As a Technician at Envigo your main responsibilities will be: Maintaining regulatory compliance - ensuring that all activities are performed within the requirements of the appropriate regulatory guidance. Achieving robust financials - taking ownership for and delivery of revenue generating tasks to ensure right first time. Minimising costs by eliminating waste (consumables & rework). Delivering high quality and on time service to maintain customer satisfaction - understanding the importance of your responsibilities and how these fit within the bigger picture. Continuous improvement - development of own skills, knowledge and understanding for personal improvement whilst identifying team and department process improvement to enhance efficiency and quality. Assist with sample receipt, storage and disposal. Prepare and process samples for designated studies. Undertake basic laboratory techniques Clean and maintain allocated work areas and equipment in line with departmental procedures. Perform departmental duties as required. Develop understanding of analytical instrumentation utilised within the department. Develop an understanding of QC checking procedures Accept responsibility for own compliance. Complete documentation in accordance with Company procedures. Follow SOPs relevant to the work area. Review and maintain electronic training record and personal portfolio. Understand UK and international GLP regulations and their application to the work area. Maintain awareness of the nature, type and frequency of regulatory inspections. This role will be responsible for assisting the Facilities Painter with painting duties on site whilst learning skills and techniques to gain NVQ qualification and status as qualified Painter Decorator. As an Apprentice Painter at Envigo your main responsibilities will be to: Follow instructions from Team Leader and Facilities Management Attend training courses and staff briefings Assist other team members Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed Liaise with other departments when carrying out work on decoration. Update customers when work has been completed Liaise with the Facilities helpdesk Communicate with Team Leader. It's an exciting time to join our team in Metablism at our site in Huntingdon. We are looking for a Laboratory Aide Apprentice to join our successful and growing team. This role will be responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of clean glassware in the laboratories, and assisting with laboratory housekeeping, sample storage and disposal. As a Laboratory Aide at Envigo your main responsibilities will be: · Checking laboratories and collecting used glassware, removing labels, loading and running the glass washing machines; hand-washing items unsuitable for the machines, and where required responding to any urgent requests for laboratory glassware. Returning clean, dry glassware to storage in the laboratories. · Assisting with general laboratory housekeeping and tidying such as radioactivity monitoring, emptying bins, changing benchkote, cleaning surfaces and defrosting freezers. · Maintaining laboratory consumables stock levels: Collecting items from Stores and distributing them to the correct laboratories. · Performing administrative tasks and assisting in maintaining administrative spread sheets The skills and experience we're looking for are: Interested in a Scientific career Attention to detail Full training will be given along with a personal comprehensive development plan leading to recognised qualifications 5 GCSE's A*-C (Must include Maths, English and Science to be eligible for this apprenticeship) If you are professional, forward thinking, enthusiastic and highly motivated, then we want you to join us and help us achieve our mission - to be the best company to work with and the best company to work for.
