The Parts Advisor Apprentice will be working with both customers and workshop staff, over the phone and face to face, using Scania computerised stock management systems and parts identification programme. The Apprenticeship is fully paid for.

Apprenticeship or Advanced Apprenticeship - Apprenticeship leading onto an Advanced Apprenticeship.
Training to be Provided - Apprentices will be working and will be trained within the dealership and an advisor will visit at least every 4-6 weeks as part of a close support network to ensure that Apprentices are both enjoying and succeeding in their course. An Apprentice's training includes:
Industry recognised framework qualification.
Functional Skills (ICT, English and Maths)
NVQ Level 2 and/or Level 3
Vocational related qualification (technical certificate)
Scania Level 1 technician modules
Expected Apprenticeship Duration - 2 Years
Skills Required - No skills required as full training will be provided
Personal Qualities - A keen interest in the vehicle industry with good communication skills, keen, hard working and willing to learn.
Qualifications Required - Minimum of 3 GCSE's or equivalent (A-C in English and Maths prefered).
Important Information -
The current National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
