Job Description

Currently looking for a passionate and energetic individual for a role with a public sector housing organisation. Main role/ responsibilities

- Provide 1st Line Support
- Assist in providing first line support for system users on core applications, infrastructure and the network
- Assist with maintaining installed application software
- Use call logging software for faults and requests
- Assist in the provision of 1st time fixes logged with the ICT Service Desk
- Assign non-first time fixes to second line support
- Assist with the provision of first line software support in accordance with NCHA's software support services policy
- Assist and deal with minor and ad hoc recovery requests
- Assist with the provision of first line hardware support in accordance with NCHA's hardware support services policy
- Assist with the patching of network points
- Assist with the provision of networking support

ICT Administrative tasks

- Assist the ICT Service Desk Advisor's with maintaining the VoIP system
- Assist with maintaining system users, including adding and amending users on the NCHA ICT System

Liaise with external suppliers

- Report faults with external suppliers
- Deal with any queries with external suppliers

Communication Activities

- Deal with enquiries from system users using telephone, and e-mail
- Take messages and record and pass on in appropriate manner
- Ensure timely feedback on problems is given to users

Decision Making Responsibilities

- Allocate work to second line support e.g. for hardware and software support

Qualities / essential requirements

- Has up to date knowledge and experience of recent MS Windows operating systems and MS Office applications
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills
- Demonstrable ability to record and collate data accurately and clearly within agreed timescales.
- Understands of the needs of people from diverse social/cultural/racial backgrounds

Desired Qualification

- Achieved, or working towards a level 2 ICT qualification or other relevant equivalent

Daily working days/ hours

Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 9am-5:30pm

Salary

£15,000 per annum is the starting salary, this could increase with development and progression.
