Job Details £11,117 per annum for 36 hours a week based at County Hall, Penrhyn Road, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey KT1 2DW. This position is a 12 month fixed term contract while you complete your apprenticeship. About the Role We're looking for someone who's passionate about starting a career in local government and keen to work in an office environment. You should enjoy working with figures and be skilled in using computers. You will bring a mature outlook, strong organisational skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels. You will be expected to undertake a programme of work, study and training designed to develop your skills and abilities to achieve a nationally recognised level 2 or 3 qualification. This is a junior role that will support the work of our busy Pension team. You will contribute to the delivery of services and projects allocated and supported by the Pensions Team Leader. Some of your key daily tasks may include: Undertaking routine data input and maintaining electronic records in the Council's systems, specifically the Pensions administration & workflow system. Liaising and communicating with all Pension Scheme Members, Scheme Employers and other internal service areas. You will maintain a high standard of customer service to all callers and visitors. Undertaking general office duties, including the daily processing of all paper and electronic mail, ensuring a high level of presentation and accuracy, filing, photocopying. At all times you will work in a professional manner and portray a positive image of the Council, ensuring that you maintain strict confidentiality at all times. To support your development you will attend and contribute to team meetings and have regular reviews with your line manager. You'll need two GCSEs grade A to C, or equivalent including Maths and English.
