Job Role

The job roles offered as part of our apprenticeships are diverse and will give you the opportunity to develop your skills, knowledge and experience in IT. As an apprentice, you'd carry a degree of responsibility that over time will increase as you develop within the workplace.

We are looking for apprentices who can demonstrate flexibility and have excellent attention to detail.

As a Microsoft Apprentice, main duties and responsibilities could include…

Becoming a valued part of the IT Support team.
Learning how to provide technical support to marketing channels and activities.
Gaining on the job experience and be able to utilize the skills you have gained over the duration of your apprenticeship.
Helping existing staff, and the other sub-contractors we partner with, to deliver the IT Support services to our clients.
Learning how to handle telephone support calls as well as incoming Helpdesk emails.
Managing the Helpdesk system, ensuring all calls are handled within appropriate timescales.
Working on resolving the first line support where capable, and work with more experienced staff to help resolve more complex issues.
Updating company systems.

Developing new business via telephone and mass communication such as email and social media to introduce the company's solutions and services and identify appropriate prospects within the target market.
Following up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects.
Building and cultivating prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in order to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
Conducting a needs analysis and determine prospects pain points to determine how the company's solutions can meet their needs.
Identifying key buying influencers within these prospects to determine budget and timeline.

Learning how to create and implement social media, lead generation, email marketing, video marketing and affiliate marketing campaigns.
Learning how to plan what content is required for a digital marketing campaign.
Learning how to produce social media posts, video content, infographics, blogs, advertising content, display advertisements, online video banners, and other forms of online content.
Gaining an insight into the delivery, management and reporting of campaigns, learning how to support the planners with content that generates the results the employer wants for the clients.
Learning how to implement, measure and analyse on online platforms - determining overall success of the campaigns run for the employer's clients. We will teach you how to use video editing platforms, as well as other content generation software.

Learning how to collate feature requests.
Becoming a valued part of the Software Development team.
Helping existing staff with front-end development using Octopus Deploy Technology.
Being responsible for extracting data and processing the extracted data.
Gaining on the job experience and be able to utilize the skills you have gained over the duration of your apprenticeship.
Learning and developing skills in integration management using Team City technology.
Updating software and systems development.

Qualifications & Skills Required

We require bright, enthusiastic and hard-working individuals with a genuine desire to learn and to build a career within the IT industry. You will have a friendly personality, be able to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service. We are looking for someone with a positive, highly self-motivating, can-do attitude from someone who isn't afraid to ask questions.

To be considered for any of our apprenticeship vacancies:
You should have a GCSE in Maths & English and a formal qualification in IT, or at least hands-on experience with the workings of computers.
You will have excellent communication skills and a brilliant telephone manner and will be punctual, positive, flexible and focused.
You will appear very professional in your appearance and how you conduct yourself at all times.
You will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to understand business processes and problems and how/when to apply technical solutions.
You will be willing to work hard and eager to learn.
An interest in IT is mandatory!

Training Provided

You will be enrolled on to the award-winning Microsoft Partner Apprenticeship Programme. You will work towards gaining skills across a variety of technical areas and this will also extend to business processes and project management. You will also have the opportunity to gain some globally recognised Microsoft certifications.
