Job Description

Purpose of Role:

The role of Financial Services Apprenticeship Assessor is to guide, coach, teach and support the development and progression of learners on the apprenticeship programmes. To support the delivery of the requirement framework within work based settings, delivering effective and engaging training, via a blended learning approach; together with regular reviews to ensure continuous development, growth and achievement of learners allocated on the caseload.

Key responsibilities as follows [although this is not an exhaustive list]

o Manage a caseload of learners working towards Apprenticeships in Financial Services (Financial Services Administrator) levels 2 and 3 including Functional Skills (ie: Maths / English)

o Working from employers work place and observing learners in their place of work to gather evidence towards their Apprenticeship/QCF qualification

o Delivering one-to-one and group sessions in the workplace to all staff including topics such as Data Protection Act, Treating Customers Fairly, compliant handling, customer service, leadership and management, communication and language

o Managing own diary efficiently to ensure timely reviews are conducted

o Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress

o Support, advise and motivate learners and staff

o Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner's needs

o Assist with all staff inductions

o Deliver individual/team performance improvement techniques to staff

o To work closely with customer service insight manager to develop innovative ways of improving services that improves customer services scores

o To work closely with Group H.R., line managers, operations managers, and provide support with delivering the customer service teams key targets and goals.

Skills / Experience / Qualifications:

  • Recognised Assessor award: D32/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVA
  • Experience in delivering Apprenticeships in Financial Services levels 2/3 including Functional Skills (Maths / English)
  • Must hold own level 4 Diploma in Insurance (Dip CII).
  • Must hold relevant occupational competency within Financial Services (Insurance)
  • Organisational skills and the ability to plan own time effectively
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
  • Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for learners
  • Full, clean driving license and own vehicle
  • Must be flexible with travel
