As well as a fully-functional farm, they have an extensive variety of specialist training areas which are shared by all relevant courses. They currently have an excellent opportunity for an Agricultural Engineering Apprentices and Welding Instructor to join their team in Winchester. The Role: As an Agricultural Engineering Apprentices and Welding Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering training on a vocational programme in order to support the learning goals of students within the Centre through training, one-to-one tutorials, assessment, observation, guidance and classroom style workshops. Key Roles & Responsibilities: • Delivering training using different techniques • Participating in the marketing and recruitment of students and contributing to the delivery of induction for new students • Assessing candidates against National Standards ensuring that student progress is properly monitored and recorded • Providing information, advice and guidance to candidates as necessary • Attending assessor meetings • Liaising with verifiers and assessors to ensure consistency of assessment practice and maintaining up to date assessment records at all times • Ensuring that student induction, tutorial and review processes, including the completion of records of achievement, are undertaken as required • To organise, administer and maintain student files • Other duties commensurate with the role, as required The Candidate: The ideal candidate for the Agricultural Engineering Apprentices and Welding Instructor role will have demonstrable experience of working in the agricultural/land based engineering trade, alongside an assessor qualification or a willingness to attain one. Welding experience to deliver MIG and TIG up to level 2 is essential along with a good knowledge of land based engineering and machinery. Previous assessing/training/trainer/teacher experience along with experience of ARC and Exotic would be advantageous but is not essential. Essential Candidate Criteria: • Demonstrable experience of working in the agricultural/land based engineering trade • Assessor qualification or willing to attain one within a specified period of time • Welding experience to deliver MIG and TIG up to level 2 • Good knowledge of land based engineering and machinery • Ability to plan training programmes • Ability to assess to the required standards and provide guidance if the evidence is not to the standard • Ability to complete documentation accurately and in a timely fashion • Ability to monitor apprentice's progress • Ability to work with apprentices and be able to motivate and encourage them to complete work Desirable Candidate Criteria: • Previous assessing/training/trainer/teaching experience • Experience of ARC and Exotic Are you the Agricultural Engineering Apprentices and Welding Instructor based in Winchester that we are looking for?
